Some organic pigment products we synthesize have a function that is different from its original function of adding color.
For example, some product which has a semiconductor-like ability to generate electric charges when exposed to light is used as photoreceptors for laser printers. Others which can selectively absorb light at specific wavelengths are used for optical filters and anti-counterfeiting applications. Another is used as catalyst based on its chemical structure.
